Alone in the world. Sans famille. Alleen Op De Wereld.

Whenever it is my turn, to welcome visitors to the Dutch Australian Cultural Centre,
in Smithfield,
85 Market Street,
behind the Dutch shop,

I take my paintings.
Gives me something to do, between visitors.
Currently, my theme is: homage to G. van Raemdonck and Alleen op de Wereld.

This, painting, of Remi, watching yet more people coming into his life and then disappearing again, during his journey through France,
is my most recent one and not yet finished.
I need to highlight Remi and the dog more and make the landscape recede.

The Dutch Australian Cultural Centre, is currently located, through the Dutch shop, 85 Market Street, Smithfield, Western Sydney.
Through the shop. Through the restaurant and through the furniture section.

Sun sets over south-western Sydney.

The winds are turning again. The few brief spells of cooler weather are almost over. We're into August, in Sydney and warmer weather is on its way. Currently the skies are very clear. Cleaned up by a little bittle of thunder and lightning. Please view similar pictures at RedBubble.

Seeking the winter sun.

It needs to be in a shady spot. So, it lives against the wall of the flat, behind the gate, but this gave me the impression that it was reaching out for the sun.
Considered publishing this one at RedBubble.

Photosynthesis - seeking life.

Relaxing in the playground.

Sunny days. The mid-sixties. School. Considering adding this to RedBubble.

Ozcloggie at RedBubble

Still thoroughly hooked on RedBubble.
Steadily painting in oils but also making much use of my Canon EOs 400D camera. There is also such a large collection of slides and photographs, taken through the years, including at the various schools where I taught.
Current plan is to show-case here the over-flow from RedBubble.

Term Three, at Hazelhurst, with Melissa.

How quickly time passes! Has that been stated before? Next Tuesday the last Art Class, in Term 2. I have re-enrolled again. No. That's not tautology. I HAVE re-enrolled in Melissa's class before.
She has her lessons fit her students and, in my case, I mainly listen in but absolutely do my own thing.
I get oil paintings ready, at home and then, once Melissa has got everybody working and she wanders around, advising, she does just that for me.
I don't claim to be advanced but I HAVE been interested in art, since the late 50s, coming close to becoming an art teacher, in the early 70s.
I just want the right kind of advice. I don't want to be 'set' things to do.
As I've written elsewhere, I appreciate the way Melissa just advises, chats, praises, encourages etc., creating a relaxed atmosphere.
(T-shirt details, .....here.)
